A couple of weeks ago I had the previlidge to do a commercial photoshoot with the Santa Gertruidis Cattle of Pieter and Alouise Niemand. Their stud is situated just outside Worcester and if I have to say so myself, these are some magnificent beasts. Some of them weighing in at nearly a ton they where prepped for the anual Swartland Show. In 2014 Pieter won best overall bull at the show and for a stud, that is some awesome achievement! Here is a couple of the images, please feel free to comment and share with others.
Capturing portraits of loving families is always great. I highly recommend having a family shoot every year. For two reasons, you can start to build up an image file with all the looks over the different years. This can then be used as blackmail material when your kids are in high school one day LOL. But one of the most important reasons is that you get to be all in front of the camera at once. As a family man myself, I often find that it's only my wife and Emily, or Emily and I, and not often all 3 of us, face it, one has to hold the camera! And the last reason, now you have photos to use as Christmas cards and not one of those awkward selfies you did in the Spur one afternoon. So here is the shoot I did for Angelique and her son and Landi and her two stunning kids at the awesome Die Eike Wedding Venue in Rawsonville. I was contacted by Centurion investments to do a commercial shoot of one of their properties in Cape Town. Here are some of the images I created. Please feel free to leave a comment.
I have done a couple of weddings at Rondekuil Wedding venue, just outside Durbanville in Cape Town. It really is an awesome venue and with its locations, it's just far enough out of town to get the whole farm wedding experience and it's just close enough to the city in case you need to quickly go and get something from the shop. So when they asked me to photograph the venue for their website and marketing purposes, I was excited. I got to spend two nights with Richard, Marie-ann and the team and I must say it was great. The friendliness from everyone was awesome. One of the best features is that they are pet-friendly, so bring you pooch with when you stay over here. Here is some of the images and there will be more on their website soon. Please feel free to comment and share.
Carla asked that I do her fitness shoot for her the week before she left for the IFBB South African Championship in Johannesburg. To say that she was in tip top shape is an understatement! The lengths that these athletes go to be in this shape and to maintain their form is amazing. It takes huge amounts of discipline to get there and then to stay there. Carla did pretty well, she places 6th in her category. I just love doing these fitness shoots, to work with models that are in this shape is just a pleasure. A couple of weeks ago I was fortunate enough to do the pre-matric farewell shoot for TJ. We did the photoshoot at the Worcester Flying Club as TJ is busy doing his pilot's course. It was loads of fun and we had a great afternoon with great weather. Here is a selection of some of the images, please feel free to share with friends and family.
