Rawsonville wedding – Andries and Minette

Andries and Minette got married on most probably the busiest wedding date in 2013, 14 December. The reception was held at the Eike saal and I did their lovely couple shoot at Die Eike Guesthouse & Venues in Rawsonville. They are such a stunning couple and sooo easy to work with. No matter what I said they just did it and did it perfectly. Here is some images from the wedding. If you are in one of the images, please tag yourself and others you know so that everyone can see it. I am looking forward to reading all the comments! Murasie Wedding Venue – Gansbaai – Wynand & Anmarie

I finally get to upload this stunning wedding! I shot this wedidng at the stunning Murasie wedding venue in Gansbaai in the beginning of December. Let me start at the beginning, last year some of you might remember the wedding of Arian and Riani that I photographed in George. Well, Wynand is teh brother of Arian and Anmari is the sister of Riani...so now they are not sure if they are in-laws or blood family LOL. I think its pretty cool this way. The day started out very windy and it was also pretty hot that day as well. There was some fine clouds in the sky and later that afternoon it had cooled down quite a bit and those clouds has turned into heavy thunder clouds. We where treated with the most awesome sunset that night! The ceremony part of the wedding was held under a huge old oak tree and it was just stunning, I loved the whole feel of the venue, rustic and relaxing. So, please feel free to like, comment and share any of the photos and I am looking forward to reading them all! Engagement Shoot Swellendam – Zahn-Mari & David

What a fun couple! Both of them live in the UK and when they recently came down to SA to sort out some of the final wedding arrangements, we just had to squeeze in their  Swellendam engagement shoot. And what a better place than to do it on their family farm between Swellendam and Heidelberg. With the wheat fields looking so stunning I could not resist shooting in it. We had a gale force wind on the day as well, but what can one do, you cant postpone the shoot, but in the end it worked out great. I am super excited about their wedding next year! Olivae Wedding – Worcester – Jaco & Magdelle

Now THIS was a fun wedding! Man I should have known after we did Jaco and Magdelle's engagement shoot, remember, the one with the paint, that this was going to be an epic party. The wedding was held at the Olivae Olive Estate just outside Worcester. We did this wedding a bit wrong way round, but it worked so well that I would actually recommend it to future brides. We did the couple shoot BEFORE the ceremony, so we had enough time to get awesome shots and straight after the church service the couple could party with their friends. 2 days before the wedding we had a huge cold front hit us and it left a blanket of snow on the high mountains. We just had to make plan to work that into the images, and man, did it work well. Oh and to top of the party was Jaco's old band, Baarmoeder Gevoel, all there, and what better way to celebrate than with a couple of awesome tunes from the band! Like the one member said at the bar, "tonight we had a gig with a wedding on the side"! AWESOME! Feel free to like, comment and especially share this album with your friends. Model Portfolio Matric Farewell Photoshoot – Matjiesfontein – Anja

Shooting a Model Portfolio is one of my favourite type of shoots to do, and when Anja said she wants to add her matric farewell images to her portfolio we just had to do it proper. Anja had the most stunning dress made by Kobus Dippenaar Atelier. She wanted something different for her matric dance shoot and we decided to shoot it a week earlier in the stunning little town of Matjiesfontein. It is still one of my favourite places to shoot and the dress just fitted in perfectly with this historical town. Feel free to comment, like and best of all SHARE. Styled Wedding Shoot – Baroque

Well at last I get time to post this amazing Styled shoot I did in conjunction with Celeste Potgieter from Celeste Styled Events. The theme was Baroque and we found this amazing forest to shoot in. The light was simply amazing and to say the least, the models was amazing. This shoot was also featured in this months My Wedding Day Magazine, and I am super happy about that, for most of us it was our first feature and I still say there is no bigger honour for any photographer to have his work featured in printed media. Everything was just amazing, from the decor, supplied by Johan Taute from In And Out Events Hire to the most amazing dresses by Kobus Dippenaar Atelier from Kobus Dippenaar Atelier . The make-up was done by the ever fantastic Sanmarie Botha from Sanmarie Make-up Artistand the accesories was supplied by Anina le Roux from Lilyblue. To our stunning models, thank you so much, you ladies was amazing: Gizelle, Tania and Stephanie. Also to my friends who second shot with me, Liesl Basson and Dan Edwards and to Drikus Koegelenberg for being my extra hands. Please feel free to leave your comments on the images and PLEASE go and like the other suppliers pages, they all worked really hard to pull this together. Tulbagh Wedding – Francoise & Carla

What can be said about this wedding other than it was simply stunning! I love small intimate weddings and this is what it was, on their family farm in Tulbagh. The weather was perfect on the day which was a huge relief as everything was outside on the lawn. I love adventurous couples, take Francois, he was game to get dressed in the orchards behind their house! That made for some cool photos. I always wanted to do something like that, thanks for being game! The autumn colours really popped and it made for some stunning backdrops. We had a awesome autumn sunset and that kicked of the party! Hope you guys enjoy the images, and thank you for making me part of this special day. Feel free to tag everyone and to share as much as you like. Want to see more? Garden Route Wedding – Oppie plaas Wedding venue – Arian & Riani

At the end of March I was asked to photograph the wedding of Ariaan and Riani in George in the Garden Route of South Africa. Well here is the album, and its a LONG one LOL. I first did a friends shoot the after noon before the wedding with Riani and her friends and then the next day I was shooting from 8am in the morning till 10pm the evening! Long day but so worth it, especially when the couple gives you about 4hours to do the couple photos! Right where do I start? About 5 years ago I did fly fishing trips down in the Garden Route and there has always been one lagoon I could never get to, I can see it on google earth but there was just no known road to get there, plus having almost vertical cliffs on either side made it VERY difficult to hike in as well. Anyway, I get this e-mail from Riani asking me to photograph their wedding in Heroldsbay, so obviously I jump at the opportunity. Low and Behold she tells me it is at this secret Lagoon that I have always wanted to go to, so now I was even more excited! Just the pure sight of it was awesome, I could not fish, even if I wished I could LOL it was worth it just being there. I started early the Saturday morning and it was quite chilly, later on it actually started to rain and there was a couple of nervous moments. Ariaan and the groomsmen slept on the beach the previous night, they had to get everything ready. I really felt for them, they went up and down those 217 steps more than anyone should! RESPECT! The ceremony was done different. Riani walked in first and went to stand by the pulpit, Ariaan came down last, this symbolised Jesus coming to fetch his bride, very special indeed. He came walking down the steps to the sound of Rams Horns being blown by his brothers. The rain stayed away and we enjoyed our time on the beach, chilly, but not cold. There was one or two small drops at times but nothing to stress about. After the beach we went to the old road that joined George and Knysna. We stopped at the old bridge that crosses the Kaaimansriver. Here we where rock hopping and shooting some great shots. Thank you guys for being awesome, it was great photographing you guys and you where naturals in front of the camera. For those who have been waiting for the images and regularly asking about them, feel free to comment, like, and tag yourself, and remember, sharing is caring, share as many times as you like.
